We master plan 900 units and provided the routing of the golf course, as well as the construction drawings and on-site supervision of the golf course construction.

MIAMI INTERNATION AIRPORT

Wedgewood Residential Development, Lakeland, Florida - 2021

We master planned an old tired golf course with a new residential community within an existing community. A total of 850 units are proposed and it is composed of single-family residential homes from 10,000 sf to 30,000 sq ft lots., townhomes, garden apartments, duplex residential homes, multi-family housing, and high-end rental apartments. In addition to various recreational areas with swimming pools, parks with jogging trails, bike paths, new entry signs, new lakes for drainage and visual enhancement, new lighting, landscape, and improvement to existing roads and proposed new roads. All the new residential parcels will connect with the rest of the community by creating open space fingers with pedestrian connectivity for jogging, bicycling or walking for exercise.

Oak Enclave, Miami Gardens, Florida – March 2022 opening date

Currently, under construction, this is a mid-rise multi-family housing project located in Miami Gardens consisting of 420 units on a 13-acre site. The site is covered with many mature oak trees. A great deal of planning was done between the architects and ourselves to preserve as many as possible of the trees. Those trees considered specimens or even champion trees were relocated to areas that would be beneficial to the community. It was very expensive to relocate the trees, but the owners were sensitive to the importance of preserving the trees, knowing full well they could never duplicate mother nature with these majestic trees. We were responsible along with our arborist for the relocation and procedure in making sure the trees of 48” to 60” inch calipers would survive, be preserved, and protected during construction. In addition, we made sure all existing trees were protected by cording off with tree barriers. During our planting design process, we analyzed and picked important key nodes and emphasized the landscape with many native understory trees and shrubs. We also assisted in the hardscape adjustment with the architects and civil engineers. The latter was extremely important by guiding the engineers in locating the infiltration drain trenches away from the existing trees to protect them. Finally, a new code system was implemented for perimeter landscape planting which is called CPTED or Crime Prevention through Environmental Design. A risk assessment or Crime Area Profile (CAP) is done surrounding the proposed project with other residential communities. Based on a scale system of a one-mile radius, this tool tells us how serious is the crime within this site area. If the crime is 3 times above normal, we then have to prepare a landscape plan using plant materials that will deter any intruder from crossing or jumping into property to commit any crime. This project will be very unique once it is completed since a lot of emphasis were on the environment and great deal of details were implemented.

Tradition at Port St. Lucy, an AHS Development Group, Port St. Lucie, Florida -2021

Currently, under construction, this is a multi-family housing project located in Port Saint Lucie. The project will have 372 Garden Style units distributed among 8 buildings ranging from 3 to 4 stories high. We are responsible for all the landscape design and coordination with team members

Parco Mare Residential Condominium, Florida - 2021

A Fourteen (14) story 237 Units and 370 parking spaces Apartment Rental community development–

We were responsible for the swimming pool design, all exterior hardscape from the property entrance to the arrival hotel entry, grading of the pool deck, landscape design, and irrigation design. Currently under design and planning stages.

Staybridge Hotel, Miramar Beach, Walton County, Florida - 2021

A 140 room – Eight stories hotel near Destin Beach, Fla. On Scenic Highway 98.

We were responsible for the swimming pool design, all exterior hardscape from the property entrance to the arrival hotel entry, grading of the pool deck, landscape design, and irrigation design. Currently under design and planning stages.

Hilton Tru Hotel – Orlando, Florida - 2020

Epelboim Development Group – A 259 room – Eight stories hotel adjacent to Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

We were responsible for the swimming pool design, all exterior hardscape from the property entrance to the arrival hotel entry, grading of the pool deck, landscape design, and irrigation design. Hotel Opened in September of 2020.

Even Hotel Miami Airport- Miami, Florida -2020

Epelboim Development Group – This eight story – 190 room hotel opened in December 2018.

We were responsible for all exterior hardscapes from the property entrance to the arrival hotel entry, swimming pool design, grading of the pool deck, landscape design, and irrigation design.

Dadeland Towers -The Line – Downtown Dadeland, Miami, Florida - Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe Architects - Rilea Group - 2020

Two twenty-five (25) story apartment complex with connection to the current Metro Rail System by Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe Architects.

Our responsibility will be for all complete Landscape Architectural Services which are all street level hardscape design, arrival sequence to tower, site furnishings, lighting, Mid-floor recreational pedestal design consisting of seating areas, tennis courts, kids play area, two roof top swimming pool, active areas and passive areas. Assist architect in the Life Safety evacuation calculations.

Key Biscayne Yacht Club. Peacock & Lewis Architects - 2021

Understanding the needs of the members and their desires for a new 15,000 sq ft clubhouse was a key to the approach of the landscape architectural design. Each yacht club is unique in its own, but Key Biscayne is an established fixture that was founded in 1955. The key element here how to provide new landscape design to meet the city codes and not obstruct the view to the Marina and the Bay. We assisted in entry design, and provided complete landscape architectural services.

Miami Lakes Town Center- Miami Lakes, Florida- Graham Companies- 2019- 2020

Our firm is responsible for assisting the architect in continuation of the Main Street and Urban Core Center of Miami Lakes. We provided Landscape Architectural Design services for seven (7) buildings consisting of Mixed Used Townhomes and Apartments Residential units with garages. We will also be responsible for the streetscape and its hardscape along with lighting and irrigation. Anticipated budget- $2,500,000

The Colony West New Golf Clubhouse and Marriott Fairfield Hotel – David Wallace Architects

City of Tamarac, Florida

Our scope of work included site planning in coordination with the architects and civil. We are responsible for all entry drive design, hardscape and pool design for clubhouse and hotel as well all landscape, low level lighting and irrigation. Coordination with the city and golf course staff adjusting the first hole and the 18thhole due to the new construction.

Miami International Airport South Bus Terminal Expansion Facility – Carreno Mateo Architects

This is the new American Airlines Hub at MIA, and Bus Terminal Facility.

Our design responsibilities were for all landscape design, site furniture, hardscape design, irrigation design, specifications, and illumination of the outdoor spaces. (Total responsibility $1,800,000). Total Cost: $400 million dollars.

Ponce de Leon Nine (9) City blocks Urban re-design – City of Coral Gables

Provided Hardscape design of the sidewalks, corner and mid-block crossings along with bulb outs landscape planters to define the parallel parking and soften the pedestrian with the autos. Selection of all the finished materials, site furnishings, lighting and irrigation for the City of Coral Gables Public Works Dept.

ST. Thomas Catholic Church and School – 3 Acre park- Miami, Florida – Archdiocese of Miami

The design of a 3-acre park, known as the Meditation Gardens for the use of the children and parishioners. We created large earth mounds with walkways that rises over 3 to 5 feet above existing grade, the location of the 14 Stations of the Cross with seating areas, an outdoor alter and the overall landscape. Approximate costs: $300,000 dollars.

Lakes by the Bay Park, 13 Acres- for the City of Cutler Bay, Cutler Bay, Fl. – Ford, Armenteros, and Manuchi engineers

Provide the Landscape Architectural design on this new 13-acre site. The park is composed of 3 baseball fields, soccer fields as well as bike and pedestrian paths. Landscape contractors: Valley Crest - Approximate costs: $3,000,000 Dollars – Completed – 2012

International Links Golf Club – (Melreese Golf Club)- Michael Graves Architect

Responsible for the preliminary Concept which included site planning and re-design of 4 golf holes and a new driving range. Coordination with Michael Graves New York office and Charlie DeLuca Golf professional at International Links Golf Course.

Keys Gate Golf Club – Homestead Florida.

Provided Conceptual Designs in site planning for residential homes and for the golf course re-design along with clubhouse landscape.

Mainland Park – 24 Acres, for the City of Tamarac, Fl.

The park was created on an abandon golf course within an existing community. The land size is 24 acres and we initially created the site planning of the small gathering and bathroom facility, along with the parking, small fishing pier over existing canal, bike and pedestrian paths, as well as approximate costs:

1,800,000 Dollars (Completed 2014)

TEMPLE BETH-AM – 15 ACRE SCHOOL AND CHURCH CAMPUS – 2018

The Campus located on Kendall Drive and SW 60th Avenue is to expand and modernize their existing facilities which includes new two – 2 story classroom buildings, new surface parking for 100 spaces and drive sequence for dropping off and picking up children during schools’ days. New swimming pool, basketball court and Welcome Center building.

We are responsible for all the hardscape designs for their restoration of the entry sequence design, the outdoor school activities; such as an enclosed courtyard, sandwich between two new 2 story classroom buildings, an outdoor courtyard which connects with the main church and the classroom buildings. In addition to the selection of playground equipment, finished flooring materials for the courtyards and seating areas, all outdoor furnishings, lighting, and grading plans and coordination with the civil engineers and architects based on finished floor elevations and existing grades. We will also be providing the landscape plans along with an irrigation system and tree mitigation plans.

Village of Palmetto Bay Library and Public Park Space - Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay, Fl.

Provided the planting design and tree disposition plan of existing trees on the site and preserve all main structure trees. In addition to the irrigation design, pedestrian walkway design, grading and parking layout, as well as site observation during construction. Very difficult to design in a serious low budget condition. (Completed 2009-2010)

Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery – Raul Suarez Architect

Commission as the land planners of the mausoleums and entrance sequence and perimeter walls for the cemetery. The architect Raul Suarez Del Campo provided all the architectural design components for the mausoleum. We provided the wall designs and landscape along with construction documents.

La Isla Hotel – Galapagos Island, Ecuador – Very Unique experience

The restoration of a 20-unit hotel and another of 15 units. Our responsibilities included the pool design, courtyard designs, lighting, irrigation, and overall landscape by using indigenous plant materials. Extreme care was taken due to the environmental sensitivity of what Galapagos is known for. One of the most satisfying work experiences of our firm undertaking.

The Rickenbacker Causeway Beach Shoreline Park- Roadway Protection Improvements for City of Miami Public Works Dept.

FROM HOBE SOUND TO VIRGINIA KEY (from the Main Toll Plaza to Miami Seaquarium)

Approximately 2.5 miles long of a beach Linear park restoration. Our responsibility included the collaboration with civil engineers on site planning, in addition to our Landscape Design, bike and pedestrian pavement design, parking and roadway improvements as well as the tree preservation of existing plant materials and its relocation. The restoration of the beach and shoreline area. Cost: 6.1 million dollars. Completed 2012

St. Cloud Shopping Center, - 33 acres- Kissimmee, Florida

We provided all Landscape Architectural Services and assisting architects in the planning process. This shopping center is known in the industry as Big Box commercial design.

Marco Island Shopping Center, Marco Island, Florida- for Hendricks Commercial out of the State of Wisconsin

Assisted the architects in the renovation of a 25-year-old shopping center whose time had come to be upgrade to the 21st century. We are responsible for the overall Landscape Architectural Design, hardscape, irrigation and site furnishings.

Cape Marco – Marco Island, Fl. – Antaramian Development-

First Place Fame Award by the South Florida Builders Association

Our designs included the site planning of this High-end condominium project on an 18-acre beachfront site with 270 degrees of prime view of the Gulf of Mexico. Price ranges $700,000 to $5,000,000. In addition to site planning we created all exterior Hardscape, lighting, grading, irrigation and landscape. Old World Mediterranean style. Total responsibility: $15,000,000 dollars. Received International First Place Award from the Spanish Commerce in Almeria, Spain at their Design Award Ceremony for the use of Spanish materials and manufacturers. (1990-2003)

Marco Yacht Club – Marco Island, Fl. – Antaramian Development

Responsible for partial site planning, parking, all exterior hardscape and features for a very exclusive private yacht club. Includes landscape, selection of lighting fixture, grading, parking layout, and main entrance and perimeter wall features. Cost: $ 1,200,000.00 (Completed 1996)

Responsible for site planning, five 22 story high-end condominiums project with an existing 18-hole golf course. Responsible for all exteriors Hardscape and amenities, landscape, and re-design of golf course. Price ranges $500,000 to $2,000,000 dollars.

Total responsibilities: $ 20,000,000 dollars.

HOTEL PROJECTS:

Our approach for every hotel that we are involved is the understanding of its Corporate Flag Concept. We then enhance those concepts to new ideas. Each site is different in scope and size and each location has their set of codes for which we must also adhere. However, the design process is the same which is the follow through of the Entrance sequence and arrival visual impact of the hotel. This continues to the outdoor spaces by extending the interiors out towards the exterior or vice a versa, by such means of hardscape paving design, pool design, pool deck, Jacuzzi, Cabanas, and passive courtyards. The addition of the landscape and how it complements and balances the architecture and site amenities is like the final brush stroke to a canvas.
